One should ensure an adequate intake of vitamins and supplements so that there is proper functioning of the immune system, cell metabolism, cell repair, hormonal balance, etc. All these factors are affected by vitamins and their deficiency results in diseases like chronic fatigue, anemia, osteoporosis, hypertension, diabetes, infertility, cataract, and other vision problems. Vitamins and supplements are very important for proper health. One needs to be aware of his nutrient intake. If a person eats too much protein with refined grains, fat, and sugar, his body will have to work extra hard to digest it and therefore he will have to consume more vitamins and minerals, which in turn will result in excess production of hormones, thus causing infertility. Vitamins and supplements play an important role in maintaining the normal functioning of our bodies. However, if a person continues to take excessive amounts of vitamins and supplements they will start having negative effects on their health. Excessive intake of vitamins and supplements may result in accumulation of the fluids in the body and this may result in swelling of the legs, brittle teeth, weak eyesight, thinning skin, and so on. People should take care that they get an adequate intake of vitamins and supplements each day. A person doesn't have to exceed the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of vitamins and supplements because such a regimen would not only be unhelpful but would also be harmful to the body. The best way to ensure that one gets the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals each day is to take a vitamin-d supplement. A good vitamin-d supplement will not only help in maintaining a proper and balanced diet, but it will also help in curing several conditions, including chronic fatigue syndrome.
